The Poligrafica S.Faustino S.p.A., a printing facility from Brescia, has created and registered a new type of wine label called MemoWine®, which represents important news for the enological world.
It is a self-sticking label which allows for the top part of it to be torn from the bottle and kept, as in the back it bears the high quality print of the miniaturized front label, along with other relevant information about the wine.
The evident advantage offered is to make it easy for the consumer, who can save the memento, to remember a wine drunk at a restaurant, facilitating the search for it in specialized stores or online. This is especially helpful with imported wines which often have long, hard-to-remember names. The fact that the label does not leave a gluey residue, makes it a perfect calling card for the wine, providing all the information that a client might need to interact with the producer and/or importer.
The new label, which represents an innovation for the wine industry and has been duly registered, offers winemakers the possibility of being noticed and remembered by consumers. Though apparently very simple, MemoWine® is the knowledgeable result of cutting edge technology applied to a brilliant idea. Wine estate can maintain their traditional image and apply the labels to the bottle using their usual equipment.
Innovation and tradition combine in this new label to offer added value to an appreciated and important product such as wine.
The Gruppo Poligrafica S.Faustino S.p.A., was founded in 1957 and has been traded on Milan's Stock Exchange since 1999. The group aims at convincing wine producers worldwide that MemoWine® adds value to the traditional wine packaging. Furthermore, the labels can be produced effectively in small quantities as well, thus making it easy to adopt for any type and size of wine production.
