The Primitivo di Manduria DOC 'Patriarca', from Cantine Soloperto won the 14th Annual National Gold Label Award, organized by the municipality of Cupra Montana, in the Italian province of Ancona.
The label of the delicious red wine made by the Manduria winery, winner for the red and rosé wine section, set itself apart from the many other competitors from all over Italy.
The competition, open to all wineries doing business in Italy, is organized by the administration of the Marche's municipality of Cupra Montana in collaboration with the Museo Internazionale dell'Etichetta (International Label Museum). The competition includes three sections: white wine labels. red and rosé wine labels, and sparkling wine labels.
The Primitivo di Manduria DOC 'Patriarca' is a wine with high alcohol content (14,5%) that is kept for nine months in barrique, thus acquiring the typical wood perfume. The bottle is 'dressed' with two tin labels that give the packaging a unique, elegant and important look that depict the quality of the wine very well.
Among the well appreciated Soloperto wines, 'Patriarca' (which means 'Patriarch') is the one that is having the greatest success.
"This wine has brought us great satisfaction," commented Ernesto Soloperto, the administrator of the winery. "Winning this important award was truly gratifying, as it aknowledges both the quality of the wine and its presentation. The first impression of consumers," continued the entrepreneur, "is visual and our company has always considered the aesthetic presentation of its wines truly important."
The award will be presented on September 24 at Cupra Montana, during the official ceremony.
