 A.I.C.E.V. the Italian Association of Lable Collectors, launches the third competition of 'The Best Label Collage', to promote the new members' association. All current members are invited to participate, but the competition is open to anybody who either collects labels or is interested in labels as a cultural tool or visual history of wine.
The competition will be held in the municipality of Monforte d'Alba, in the Langhe hills of Piedmont, in the province of Cuneo. This area is home to great wines, and thus an ideal location for such an event. The work presented wil be exhibited from September 10, to September 18, 2005.
Rules
- The size of the finished work must be 50x70cm (19.685"x27.559").
- The theme is free but should be reported by the author within the panel.
- Each finished work must include author's data (full name, member, non-member, company, etc.).
- Three-entry maximum per participant.
- Entry fee for up to three works is €5 for A.I.C.E.V. members and €20 for non-members and businesses (the fee includes one issue of the newsletter 'Andar per Etichette' ('Searching Labels'), as well as the temporary membership untill December 31, 2005.
- Contestants must send entry fees to Post Office Account Number 30277206, in the name of A.I.C.E.V. secretary, Prato Giacomo, via Veneto, 9/7 - 20068 Peschiera Borromeo (Mi) and include copy of payment, as well as the subscription form when shipping the participating panel(s).
- All entries must be received on or before September 7, 2005 at the following address: Comune di Monforte d'Alba, via della Chiesa, 3 - 12065 Monforte d'Alba, Cuneo (Italy).
- Each competitor is responsible for retreiving his or her work(s) at the end of the exhibition.
- All works will be exhibited from September 10, to September 18, 2005 in a locale provided by the municipality of Monforte d'Alba.
- The jury will select the winning composition and award prizes for each category (members, non-members, companies).
- Awards will be presented to the winners on September 18, 2005 during a public event.
