Saturday, October 9, 2004 the Second Annual of the competition 'Il Più Bel Quadro di Etichette', or 'The Best Label Composition' took place. It was organized by A.I.C.E.V. (Associazione Italiana dei Collezionisti Etichette di Vino, or Italian Association of Wine Label Collectors) and hosted by Signora Pezzi in the wonderful environment of Fattoria Paradiso in Bertinoro, in the province of Forlì-Cesena,

Among A.I.C.E.V. members and guests there were 38 people participating in the event and 31 label compositions were competing, among which one presented by a winery, the Cantina Blasanth from Friuli.

First, second and third places went to, respectively:

  1. Roberto Trentin with Rispettiamo la Natura”(Let's Respect the Environment)
  2. Rossi Giampaolo (a.k.a. Buongiorno Francesco) with Cabaret
  3. Prete Aldo with Le Meridiane (The Sundials)

The gratifying success of the event was highlighted by the excellent quality of the work presented and the organizers of the second annual are already planning the third for 2005.

The morning was enlivened by the exchange of labels among the participants and ended with a tasty lunch at the locanda Gradisca.

The event ended with with the presentation of the awards to the top three compositions, and their authors received a commemorative plate.
